Chilled, Frozen and Packaging Options

Private Label produces a wide range of private label food products for retail and food service, including meals, tray meals, snack pots, side dishes, soups, salads, sauces and packed lunches. We offer both chilled and frozen formats, supported by AA‑grade BRC certification, and supply the Irish and UK markets. We work with clients to ensure projects are commercially viable, with production beginning at batch sizes of around 200kg.

Our team can match existing recipes, create bespoke formulations, and provide full NPD support, including scaling, lab testing, nutritional data and sleeve information.< Packaging options include CPET trays, foil trays, tubs and buckets, with custom moulds available. We arrange nutritional, allergen and ingredient testing through accredited labs and comply fully with EU and UK food safety regulations.

Private Label holds BRC, HACCP, Halal certification, and can produce vegan, vegetarian and halal ranges. We support clean‑label, reduced salt/sugar development and determine shelf life through lab validation.
We assist with branding, artwork and labelling, supply samples for tasting, and have capacity for up to 10,000 meals per day. Seasonal ranges, halal certification, ingredient sourcing and NDAs are all available on request. Below are some frequently ask questions.

We can support you in the scaling of production, lab testing and nutritional, information for sleeve design and we have a food photographer, that we have experience of using. We have 7 different retail formats and number of different food service trays. While we at present do not pack in pouches, this can be arranged. If you have specific pack format in mind that we do not use, this can be made for you at a cost in the region of €8000.00 per mould / sealing tray. This mould will be your property. Our Sister Company www.privatelabel.ie, will once your recipe has been approved and signed off arrange for samples to be sent to the lab of your choice for shelf life and nutritional testing, this can take a number of weeks depending on what shelf life you hope to achieve. If you are making a legal claim such as high protein or low salt we do need 3rd party lab work to back this up and we may need to submit to the lab on a number of occasions. Our Sister Company www.privatelabel.ie, of course hold BRC  - this year is AA grade, in addition we are registered with Cork County council and are inspected by the Dept of Agriculture and a very regular basis. In addition, we facilitate 3rd party audits as well as holding Halal certification and several of our ranges are and can in the future new vegan lines can be certified. In addition, we have a range of already certified halal items for retail, food service and IPAS accommodation. Halal certification can be arranged for new products when the recipes are signed off. Generally frozen has a shelf life of 365 days, but chilled will vary depending on the product, the cooking and filling processes etc. Just contact us for more details.

Some days do have production run in places and other factors to consider are the tray type can slow things down as can the filling process, so a lot does depend on the meal solution you require.  Just contact us for more details.

Our halal ingredients are only sourced from facilities that have acceptable certification and standards. Another factor that must be considered is volumes required, shelf life  and costs. But there are an number of factors to consider, the key one being where are you going to sell your products as in some cases in the UK - HMC and HFA  are the main bodies but they do not operate in Ireland , but we can help obtain certification for halal products for the UK via other certification bodies.
